IN MEMORY OF

Rudy Goldwire

The Armwrestling World Community says
Goodbye to a Friend

On Monday, August 23rd Rudy Goldwire lost his battle with Cancer. He was only 32 years old. In his very short life he made many friends and also made an impact on the world of ArmSports.  United States Armwrestling had the honor of having Rudy’s expertise in promoting and refereeing in Texas and the surrounding states. He was also a great armwrestler and spent many hours teaching others how to be as excited about the sport as he was. In addition to the many friends that will miss him deeply Rudy also left behind 4 children, his parents and many relatives. It is a great loss to all. The USWA/USAA will be holding an annual event at the Southeast Texas State Fair in Beaumont titled the "Rudy Goldwire Memorial Armwrestling Tournament". In this way, each year we will be able to show how much Rudy meant to the competitors and us. On October 9th, 1999 we look forward to remembering Rudy at the 1st annual tournament with his many fellow athletes at the Fair Park Coliseum, 2700 Gulf, Be4aumont, Texas. Please keep Rudy’s family in your prayers. If you would like to send a card you may send it to: The Rudy Goldwire Family, 9780 Winlin Dr., Orange, Texas.
