This year has a lot of interesting and exciting things are coming about in our sport.   The Unified Nationals are being held in Little Rock, AK.  The World Championship is being held in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.   The Arnold Armwrestling Challenge starting in 2004 will be run by USAA/USWA.  There is a lot of talk about a monster money tournament with live TV coverage, this events may take place sometime in June.  More on this event will be posted on the IAF and USA web sites.   You need to check out all the upcoming events being posted on both of these sites.

Another important announcement we have to make is that the IAF has a New State Director in the state of New York.   His name is John Ruggiero.  John lives upstate in Schenectady, NY.  He is a very active competitor, going to tournaments all over New England.  Last year he pulled at the World Championship in Illinois.  Don’t remember right now how he did. His e-mail is

Armsmen1@aol.com if you would like to get in touch with him.  John is planning on running a couple of tournaments this year.  Keep an eye on the tournament page for details.
