 NEWSLETTER
JANUARY 2002

Hope everyone’s Holidays were good.  And that 2002 will bring about many good things for armwrestling.  The World Championship held in Poland was a great success.  There were competitors from 29 countries and they had 806 entries.  This was without a doubt the largest and best World’s to date.  For full results check out the USA web site: http://armwrestling.com.  As far as good things for armwrestling this year, how about the World Championships being held in Illinois.  I hope that everyone has started training for the Unified Nationals, which will also be held in Illinois in August.  More details on this on the USA web site.  We would love to see this World surpass last years with even more countries and competitors.  You should try and make this event even if you have to go as a spectator.  But hopefully you will qualify for the World’s.  We will try to post as much info as we can on the IAF web site plus everything we can in upcoming newsletters.

For everyone that has not been to the IAF site lately we have added an armwrestling forum.  Feel free to post questions, tips or any thing else that you think might be of interest to armwrestling.  The forum is on the post page.  There is also a poll about the possible unification between USA & AAA.  Not as many votes on there as I thought there would be, feel free to cast your vote.  We have also added the new  World Armwrestling Federation(WAF) to our links page.
