DREAM CUP IN ST. PETERSBURG, RUSSIA

OPEN ARMWRESTLING TOURNAMENT

Boris Poska, the winner of the Russian championship, became the possessor of "DREAM CUP" in this most prestigious super-heavy weight. The final duels of "DREAM CUP" tournament were arranged on the 19th of November in casino "NEVADA".

Boris Poska was the heaviest sportsman among participators of the final duels (100,2 kg!), but this fact didn't guarantee him an easy victory. The beginning was cloudless. During the duels in left hands Boris easily won all his opponents, including a rising star of Saint-Petersburg armsport Alexander Bulenkov and one of the best left hands Evgeny Shishov.

But with the beginning of duels in right hands Boris was not so lucky. Two more sportsmen took part in the struggle, Russian champion Vasiliy Kuznetsov and Leningrad region champion Dmitriy Vaznov. They didn't wrestle left handed because of their injury.  At the first table Boris Poska met with Vasiliy Kuznetsov. According to the admiring hum of the spectators it was clear that the fans waited for this meeting. The duel was beautiful and quick. But it was a defeat for Boris. After that their hands were bound with the strap and Vasiliy could catch the strong start of Boris. The hands of sportsmen stopped for some time in the center of the table but then Vasiliy put Boris' hand to the table slowly and confidently.

Having won two difficult duels against Alexander Bulenkov and Dmitriy Vazhnov Boris could be in the final and met again with Vasiliy. He hoped to take revenge but Vasiliy was invincible that evening and Boris took second in right hands.
