The CAWF Annual General Meeting will be from 10:00 a.m. till 12 noon, Sat. Sept 4th/99.
This will also be at the venue.
Weigh ins take place at the venue (school) in Grand Digue beginning Sat. Sept. 4th
at 9:00 a.m. to noon for Masters, Physically challenged and Youth. These categories will
compete Saturday afternoon beginning at 1:00p.m. Weigh Ins will commence at 1:00p.m. for
the Open classes and stop at 5:30 p.m. At this time they will stop to accommodate a complimentary
LOBSTER SUPPER for the people and then will resume at 9:00 p.m. and go till 10:00
p.m.. They will resume Sunday morning from 8:00 a.m. till 12 noon. Tournament begins at
1:00 p.m. with grand opening and it will go until we are finished around 7:00 p.m.
A live band dance, free to all participants, will cap off the evening following the
presentations of awards from 1rst to 6th place. The host committee will present
to everyone a souvenir armwrestling medallion. All youth participants will receive
medallions and certificates. All masters and physically challenged classes will receive
medallions as well as regular trophies.
A Masters and Level III Referee clinic will be held Monday if there is sufficient
participation.
We extend an invitation to all that have qualified through their provincial
championships and we urge you to contact Sylvio as quickly as possible. He is competing
with the World Francophone Summit for hotel space and we encourage you to act quickly so
as not to be disappointed. He has rooms held until the end of July so please help him out.
