The highlight of the Heartland summer has to be
the Cornhusker State Games! And this is a reminder registration for
this event is drawing near, June 20th is the early deadline and June
27th is the final deadline with a extra $5 late fee. The tournament
is for residents of Nebraska, South Dakota and the counties of
Harrison, Mills and Pottawattamie in Iowa Only. We sent out over 600
flyers this week, to the armwrestlers in these areas. You must fill
out the registration, plus sign and date the release form. Make
certain to select all of the division you would like to compete in!

ENTRY FEE:
$17 per person for first event, $5 for second event if entered by
June 20. Save $2 by entering online.
$5 late fee if received between June 21 and June 27. Entry fee
includes athlete T-shirt, passes to SportFest and the Opening
Ceremonies and a copy of the CSG Official Program.
COMPETITION FORMAT: Stand-up
style of armwrestling, double elimination.

Opening Ceremonies / SportFest
Make plans to attend the Cornhusker State Games Opening Ceremonies,
and come early for SportFest! The Opening Ceremonies features
Olympic-style pageantry and high-energy entertainment, with
sky-divers, fireworks, mascot races, the parade of athletes and the
mystery torchlighter finale! SportFest is the all-new pre-Opening
Ceremonies party with inflatable/carnival games, face-painting, music,
interactive displays and free dinner/beverage/ice cream for all
registered athletes. And, for the first time, athlete packets will be
available for pick-up on-site prior to the Opening Ceremonies. See
additional details below.
SPORTFEST
DATE: Friday, July 14
TIME: 5 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
(packet pick-up on site begins at 4:30 p.m.)
LOCATION: Seacrest Field East
Parking Lot / Den Hartog Ball Field (adjacent to Seacrest Stadium),
7600 A Street, Lincoln
ADMISSION: Free for registered
athletes and guests under 12. $5 for all others, covers SportFest and
the Opening Ceremonies. Athletes must present athlete pass (included
in athlete packet or team box) for free admission.
ACTIVITIES: Inflatable/carnival
games, face painting, DJ/music, interactive displays and dinner.
DINNER: Includes sandwich, chips, beverage and ice cream. Free for
athletes via the meal ticket (included in the athlete packet or team
box). Others may purchase meal tickets for $3 each.
FOOD DRIVE: All guests of
SportFest and the Opening Ceremonies are asked to bring at least one
canned food item for the Food Bank of Lincoln.
