The voting for Armwrestler of the Year was heavy this year.  It was nice to see so many votes sent back.  This award is nice because the members vote for their choice.  This years Armwrestler of the Year is Cindy Looney from Bristol, CT.  This was a good year for Cindy what with winning the Points Championship and now being voted Armwrestler of the Year.  Congratulations Cindy on a great year.  This means that everyone will be gunning for you in 2006.

The World Championship in Japan was a big success with close to 900 entries from 34 countries.   All the results are posted on the USA site( http://armwrestling.com)

Next year the World Championship will be held in England. It will be hosted by the British Armwrestling Federation and could possibly reach 1000 entries from 40 countries.  Mr Fred Roy was elected as president of WAF at the congress  meeting.  Right now the WAF is active with FILA and GAISF.  Both of these associations will help with acceptance into the IOC.  We are moving in the right direction. Congratulations also to Willy Deneumostier from Belgium on being elected as Gen/Sec for WAF.

We are in the process of rebuilding NAAF ( North American Armwrestling Federation).  There is a new constitution being put together.  As of right now the only election held was for Mr Dave Devoto to be elected as President of NAAF.  As soon as all the elections are done and the constitution is ratified I will post everything on the NAAF site:  http://naaf.homestead.com

Another point is that we have posted the results for the Women's Rankings on the ranking page:  http://iaf1.homestead.com/rank.html  We are still working on the

Canadian rankings.  Check out the site.  If any lady armwrestler that reads this would like to be added to a master mailing list please e-mail me with your info or post it on the ranking page.    iaf1@comcast.net
