Newsletter
January 2006
Hopefully everyone's Holidays were pleasant and that everyone got
what they wanted for Christmas. We want to wish everyone a Happy New Year
and hope that 2006 will be even better than 2005. There seems to be a lot
more tournaments planned for 2006 and a lot of them involve money. Now the
next step is for you, the armwrestler's to get out and attend as many events
as possible. If for some reason you can't compete or don't think you are
ready at least go and cheer on your friends or teammates. Sponsors and
promoters are looking for a large head count. If events draw well than you
can expect them to be run again and again. Hopefully 2006 will bring out
more ladies to compete. It is tough for a promoter to run classes and have
no one show up. I think that the ranking system we started will help to
encourage more women to compete. The ranking has been extended to Canada
and Europe. Hopefully we will post the results from Canada and Europe
soon. If anyone has a suggestion on how to improve the ranking system or
wants to include another women on the list please go to the ranking page and
send the info or just e-mail me at: iaf1@comcast.net
http://iaf1.homestead.com/rank.html
The IAF site has been updated with regards to upcoming
tournaments and places to train. If you know of any place to train that is
not listed on the training page let us know and we will add it to the page.
We are working on a Women's Master Mailing List that would be available to
all promoters If you are not presently on our women's list and would like
to be added just e-mail all your info to:
iaf1@comcast.net
There is also a place to send your info on the ranking page. But remember
Ladies that you need to get out to more tournaments if you want more women's
classes added.
