We have a new State Director for
Massachusetts. His name is Jan Schmeichel, he is from
Randolph, MA. Jan has been
involved for awhile now as a competitor and referee. I am sure that he will
make a great addition to the IAF family. Be sure and welcome him when you
see him. All his info is posted on the Director’s page on the IAF site.
It will also be posted
on the Maine site as of the next update.
I am sure
that everyone has heard about the big money tournament being held at the
Mohegan Sun Casino in CT. It will be held on August 7th, pullers
must be there on August 6th for weigh-ins. This event will be
filmed by Fox Sports and will air on the Best Damn Sports Show. The time
and day will be posted on the IAF & Maine message boards, also on the
USA site. This will provide a great deal of exposure for our sport.
Everyone that is close to CT should try to make this event. We want to have
a big showing of spectators there.
